This painting was done with oils using only a pallet knife - a tender subject painted imperfectly with gestural stroke and adoration
I was walking up into the sand from Toronita Beach Park and noticed a couple ruts in the sand. When I looked up, I found a walker at the trails end an a woman sitting alone on a towel. I was so inspired by this woman who'd not let a little thing like needing a walker keep her from getting to the beach- by herself! I hope that when I reach that age, I'll do the same. It may take on a new meaning, but I always want to be a beach walker.
